DAVID POTTINGER
David Pottinger was born in Dalby, Queensland. He currently lives and works in Melbourne. He holds an Associate Diploma in Ceramics from Kelvin Grove College, a Bachelor of Arts [Honours] at RMIT University and a Masters by Research, RMIT University. In 1991 he received the Sidney Myer Fund, International Ceramics Award and in 2001 the Seimens Fine Arts Scholarship Award. In 1997 he was a finalist in Fresh, the Craft Victorian Award, Melbourne. David Pottinger exhibited with a group of Australian ceramicists in Collect 2008, Victoria & Albert Museum, London, presented by British Crafts Council & Jam Factory, Adelaide. Pottinger is part of many public, corporate and private collections including National Gallery of Australia, Canberra; National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne; Shepparton Art Gallery, Victoria and the Art Gallery of South Australia, Adelaide.
David Pottinger's work is also represented by Beaver Galleries, Canberra.
